Beginning Reader books are a fun way for children to start learning how to read independently, but finding books at the right reading level can be a challenge. Each publisher has their own leveling system, so the same reading level from two different publishers may look completely different.
Beginning Reader grab bags are designed to help you explore which publishers, reading levels, and topics are the best fit for your child at this step in their reading journey. These grab bags are available in three levels: Pre-Reader, Level 1, and Level 2. Each bag includes books at that level from many different publishers for you to try. Find them in the Enchanted Forest in the Beginning Readers section.
The grab bags can be checked out like regular library books at a Self Check Out Station or at the Check Out Desk. The books do not have to be returned together and can be dropped off at any of our return locations.
