If you’re in grade one during June 2024, we have a special Grade One Reading Kit for you! The kit is free and contains fun activities that will keep you reading all summer long.
The Grade One Reading Kits were developed to encourage children to practice reading throughout the summer so they can build on their newly acquired reading skills.

- A book bag
- An activity booklet
- A Great Reads bookmark
- A Super Reader Challenge colouring poster
- An invitation to sign up for your free library card!
When can I get a kit?
Kits are available from June 1 to August 25, 2024.
Where do I pick up a kit?
Visit the main floor Information Desk at the Library or meet the Bookmobile at any of its weekly stops and ask for your kit. We ask that students pick up their kits in person so we can meet them and welcome them to the library.
How do I pick up prizes?
Has your child completed their Super Reader Challenge colouring poster? Visit the main floor Information Desk or the Bookmobile to pick up a special prize by September 15.
