It's not just a COVID thing, we stopped charging overdue fines in June 2020. Our Library Board recognized that late fees were annoying for many, devastating for some, and - as it turns out - not all that effective at getting items back.
So don't sweat it if you really want to finish the last few pages of that thriller. But we really do appreciate it when you return your borrowed items so others can enjoy them too.
