We’re planning a seed exchange!

And we're currently accepting more donations.

When?

The library is planning to host a seed exchange on February 28. We've received many donations, but we could use some more. If you have seeds you'd like to, we’re happy to accept donations from now until February 21.

What?

We’re looking for seeds that grow vegetables, flowers, herbs, trees, shrubs, and grasses. We'll take donations of seeds that you have harvested yourself, or commercial seed packages, whether opened or unopened. (Unfortunately, we cannot accept seeds that are on Alberta’s noxious and prohibited weed list .)

How?

Please bring them to the Information Desk on the first or second floor, or to the Bookmobile, in a closed envelope. Your seeds must be clean and dry, and the envelope should be marked with the name of the plant and the date the seeds were collected.
