We’re planning a seed swap!

And we're currently accepting donations.

When?

The library is planning to host a seed exchange in the spring of 2025, and we’re asking for seed donations from now until the end of this year.

What?

We’re looking for seeds that grow vegetables, flowers, herbs, trees, shrubs, and grasses. We're happy to accept donations of seeds that you have harvested yourself, or commercial seed packages, whether opened or unopened. (Unfortunately, we cannot accept seeds that are on Alberta’s noxious and prohibited weed list .)

How?

Please bring them to the Information Desk on the first or second floor, or to the Bookmobile, in a closed envelope. Your seeds must be clean and dry, and the envelope should be marked with the name of the plant and the date the seeds were collected.
