We’re planning a seed swap!

And we're currently accepting donations.

When?

The library is planning to host a seed exchange next spring, and we’re asking for seed donations from now until the end of February. On February 28, we're hosting an Everything Garden Exchange.

What?

We’re looking for seeds that grow vegetables, flowers, herbs, trees, shrubs, and grasses. We're happy to accept donations of seeds that you have harvested yourself, or commercial seed packages, whether unopened or opened with leftover seed in them. Unfortunately, we cannot accept seeds that are on Alberta’s noxious and prohibited weed list .

How?

Please bring them to the Information Desks on the first or second floor, in a closed envelope that’s marked with the name of the plant and the date the seeds were collected. Your seeds must be clean and dry. You can also bring them to our exchange event on the 28th and meet other gardeners!
